Pizza, Pajamas, and Pumpkins

Nothing says fall more then pizza, pajamas, and pumpkins. I love this time of year because we stay inside more and lounge around. We get creative in making the most of our evenings. Pizza lunchables are a staple in this house, but we decided to do it right and make pizza from scratch. It was fun and delicious. By the time our pizzas were fiished we had ate our fill of the ingredients.

Kids (not adults :) in "feetie" pajamas are the cutest thing ever. Everyone was excited to bust them out of the winter clothes box. Clara loved running length of our kitchen over and over. Sophie has a hard time getting back into her pajamas after midnight potty breaks which has lead to some interesting wake up calls.
Pajamas:

I thought everyone knew what being "boo'ed" meant but that does not seem to be the case. It is when someone rings your doorbell and leaves treats on you doorstep and runs. The kids and I love it! You post the sign in your window alerting all the neighbors that your house has been hit. It makes me love our neighborhood more than I usually do.

We are fortunate we never have to pay for pumpkins. My mother-in-law, and former elementary school teacher, always plants a yard full of orange pumpkins that beg to be picked. One of my co-workers, Troy, always plants exotic pumpkin varieties and loves giving them away. I think he had 49 different varieties of pumpkins this year! We enjoyed a beautiful, warm fall day and carved our pumpkins outside. Each child had a different role in the pumpkin carving process; Maddy drew the faces, Sophie loved cleaning the "guts" out, and Clara held Sophie's favorite toy seal from getting dirty.

In other news, we had a big birthday party for Clara and Matt and I are leaving for Italy in 2 days!!! Keep checking back for pictures.
