Family Fun!
Everyone said having a baby at Christmas time is magical. Don't get me wrong, it is. However, having a newborn (and 3 other children) in January is not. Talk about Cabin Fever!!! Here are a couple fun activities that got us out of the house recently.
Glow in the Dark Put Put...
The girls and I introduced our boys to Shanks indoor mini golf course. It was a blast and a fun way to blow off some steam while keeping warm. Sophie had the shot of the day, when she hit a hole in one... wait for it... not in the hole she was aiming for. Baby Ben hung out in the moby wrap while the girls played.
Jenga, Jenga, Jenga...
O.k. so it didn't get us out of the house (unless you count the Walmart trip we made specifically to get it) but provided us with hours of entertainment without the television. Clara and Sophie were surprisingly good for how little and how spastic they are. Maddy has some intense concentration skills- check out her big eyes!
The Idaho Historical Museum...
It's like inception! The historical museum is an antique in itself. I swear the same displays are there from when I was a kid. However, it was a fun home school adventure that we have been meaning to see. The nice docent provided the girls with a scavenger hunt that drove their curiosity. We were able to find everything except for the elephant and the museum's gnome. After a couple hints we found everything. What a cool way to introduce Idaho history to our little ones.
