Up, up, up and away!

We are not morning people but we pretended like we were and got up bright and early to see the hot air balloons. This has been a tradition since I was a kid. Every year my grandma and I would get up to see the balloon spectacular. The kids have joined us the past 2 years and have come to love it. My favorite part is watching them fill with air and guessing which balloon will take off first. It was also a great opportunity to school Maddy. We counted the balloons in the air, discussed how the why they float, where they go and how they land. I love the picture of the balloons over the river. How scenic?

Number 30 on my bucket list is to ride in a hot air balloon but this will have to wait another year.
