Fireworks- Happy 4th of July!
I think we can all agree that music you would never admit to listening to is acceptable if you are working out. Even the mostly manly man can listen to Miley Cyrus and a stay at home mom can listen to Souja boy if it is pumping through their ipod on a 5 mile run. So don't judge me when I admit to listening and loving Katy Perry, especially her Firework song. However, the difference when you have kids is that songs don't relate to you but to those precious children you just love so much. For those of you who don't know what I am talking about the song says...
'Cause baby you're a firework
Come on and show 'em what you're worth
Come on and show 'em what you're worth
Make 'em go "Oh oh oh"
as you shoot across the sky-y-y
Baby your a firework
Come on let your colors burst
Make 'em go "Oh oh oh"
you're gonna leave 'em all in awe awe awe.
You don't have to feel like a wasted space
You're original, cannot be replaced
If you only know what the future holds
After a hurricane comes a rainbow.
Maybe your reason why all the doors are closed
So you can open one that leads you to the perfect road
Like a lightening bolt, your heart will glow
and when it's time you will know
You gotta ignite, the light, and let it shine
Just own the night like the 4th of July.
This song reminds me of Sophie. She just has been through so much in her short life yet I honestly feel that she and our whole family are better for it. After having her G-tube for almost 2 years she had it taken out last October. She is definitly an original and I know great things are in store for her. Here are some pictures of our 4th of July. We went to Erni's house for a BBQ and then watched fireworks with our neighbors. (The best part of having shady neighbors are all of the illegal fireworks :)
