Christmas 2012

Christmas is such a whirlwind.  There is so much anticipation and expectations and then it is December 26th and I am picking up what is left of our living room.  I am not sure if it is the baby but I feel like I did not get enough Christmas this year.  I only heard Micheal W. Smith belting out '... wonderful counselor, prince of peace, MIGHTY GOD..." once, or Starbucks eggnog lattes, fresh pine scents, and everything else that gushes Christmas.  So I will look at the pictures I took and reminisce.

One of the few things we decided to pass on this year was the St. John's Christmas pageant.  Our whole family sat up in the choir loft and loved the change of scenery and being together for mass.  As always the church was beautiful and crowded!

As I have mentioned before, Matt's family knows how to do right by Christmas eve.  There is a Santa, Pinata, and lots of family.  I am proud to announce that all 4 children went right to Santa with no tears (even Clara!)  Sophie had to be the party favorite.  After closer inspection of Maddy's present she announced to everyone, "It's what she really, really wanted!" and hugged the living daylights out of Maddy.  Unfortunately, she also noticed Clara's baby doll was a knock off.  Dang that cheapskate Santa he couldn't bring himself to spend 50 bucks on the doctor mommy doll.  Clara didn't seem to care (phew!)
Clara proud of herself for being a big girl and not crying on Santa's lap this year.

Clara happy with her little mommy doll.
Assuring Santa that she is a good big sister and brushes her teeth regularly.
Posing with Santa.
Maddy loved her light up Cinderella doll.
Sophie jumping for joy over her new Dora guitar.

Further proof that Ben is content as long he has a warm body close by,
Even if he is a creepy old man in a red suit.
Ben got to meet his Auntie Kali.
Rudolph the red nose reindeer pinata.
Why is it impossible to get all 3 kids to look at the camera at the same time without a goofy face?!!
Maddy and Roxy.
I will let you in on a little secret... Roxy is really a boy.
I hope I am not the only one who thinks "Mister Bojangles is really a girl."
Sophie knocked off Rudolph's jingle balls allowing me to avoid any R rated pictures .
Clara was a pinata pro this year (besides holding the stick upside down.)

There was lots of hugging :)
Having a 10 day old did not stop us from having Christmas morning at our house.  Thanks to Grandma Erni and 'nother grandma for making breakfast.  We were all spoiled rotten and the girls loved all their Christmas gifts.  Thank you to everyone for all the presents and most importantly for being in our lives.
The girls on Christmas morning.
Grandmacita holding Baby B.
My favorite Christmas gift!!!
Auntie Kali got everyone special NY themed books and shirts for Christmas.
Maddy with Cinderella.
Clara and her penguins.

I am just lucky that the baby was not named Tim Tebow Stivison.
B..B..Benny and the Jets!
Iceberg, Sophie's new seal, was the favorite toy of Christmas morning.
