Our little Sophie Anne turns 6 years old!

Happy Birthday to our precious Sophie.  She is such a special girl and deserves so much more love and attention than we usually dish out so we always try to make her birthday extra special.  She truly is a middle child, sweet and unassuming.  Unfortunately, everything that could go wrong for her special day did.  But she was so happy and loved every minute of her special days.  We celebrated Saturday with a small party at our house and on her actual birthday we went to the zoo and out to dinner with the Horns.

After Zurchers did not have a Dora cake pan, she settled on Ariel.  

Sophie's number one love is seals!  So this gift from 'nother grandma was a hit.  The girls loved playing with this unique ring toss game.  Sophie, of course, was the best.

 Sophie picked Tucanos for her birthday dinner.  She was so excited to have them come sing for her and she was able to do a special birthday dance.  I think I counted 4 birthdays while we were there.  'Happy, Happy Birthday's' were everywhere. 

For the record, we did get to watch "The Little Mermaid" a couple days later.  Who knew that Disney puts movie's in a vault and won't let you buy or rent them anywhere?!  Hopefully, we will be able to ride in a hot air balloon in May when the weather is a little more predictable.  I know Sophie loved her day even though in a crazy postpartum haze I begged Matt to drive her to Disneyland to make up for all of life's unforeseen disappointments.
