Life through a different lens...

I have been without my DSLR camera for almost 2 weeks. My lens had been clicking and finally just pooped out on Easter.  Luckily, it was still under warranty and after I swore up and down that I did not drop it they agreed to fix it.  I have been going through serious withdrawals! It is like someone saying don't think of that and no matter how hard you try not to that is all your brain can focus on (usually in my case that is dessert.)  I have been seeing all these amazing shots and awesome photo tips on pinterest.  Here are some adventures captured through Instagram (an amazing iPhone app!)

"Mommy and Me" Dates:
Clara and I have a weekly errand of grocery shopping on Sundays but not this week we ditched our chores and headed to Starbucks.  I sipped my Salted Caramel Hot Chocolate as Clara nursed her milk we talked like old friends.

I was fortunate enough to spend 8 weeks at home after Clara was born that allowed me to get my "fix" of being a stay at home mom without the hard work (Matt always does more than his fair share.)  During that time I would take Maddy to preschool and chat it up with the teachers and generally was involved.  With Sophie ending her preschool stint in less than a month I thought I should drop by and make an appearance.  Sophie and I had a delicious but not so healthy lunch of corn dogs and nutella crepes before heading to preschool. The teachers commented it must be moms day because my friend Lorissa was dropping her son off.  We talked and caught up, it was the perfect break in my day.

Enjoying the Springtime Weather:
Spring is my least favorite season because my allergies are horrible but I can not complain about the amazing weather we have been having.  It ranges 30 degrees in the span of days.  Here are some cute pictures on our walks and planting our garden. Flowers make me smile (and sneeze)!

Clara rocking the upside down sun glasses.

Suburban surfing!

Girl's Night Out:

Every now and then you need some time to act silly with your friends.  In honor of my friend Sarah's birthday; we headed to Matador for happy hour, shopping at Anthropology, and brace yourself... Titanic in 3D!
Christie and Jenna eating a gigantic plate of nachos! Don't worry I helped.
Sarah sporting a giraffe hand tattoo.  Being the only mom I was appointed temporary tattoo expert.  I kept wondering why it didn't look the same on her hand as the box and Sarah pointed out the fact that she did not have hands the size of a 3 year old.
3D glasses are rad! Yep, that is in the ladies room.
Random:
Self portrait.
I am wearing the girl's headband to work it was only a matter of time before that happened.
My first ever attempt at meat loaf ever!  Thanks to my aunt Chris for the pan whose sole purpose is to make meat loaf and my coworkers amazing chef of a wife that got me craving this.
I love this cool old bridge.
Ginger plays chest soccer with this ball and occasionally the raspberry bush acts as goalie.

 Good night for now!
